Ceramics Artists Residencies

The ceramic artist in residence program offers a self directed emerging or established ceramic artist a supportive work environment to explore ideas and create a cohesive body of work.

Our primary objective is to provide creative time and space for our residents to develop a new project or body of work in ceramics. We offer two 6 month all inclusive residencies per year for potters or ceramic sculptors. We anticipate that the spring residency will run. Auckland studio potters invites professional ceramic artists and craftspeople from the world over to apply for one of our three residency positions.

Our ceramic residencies run for periods of 4 12 weeks. The emerging artist residency program encompasses two unique fellowships designed to provide up to four ceramic artists with an opportunity to be in residence for one year at northern clay center where they can develop their own work as well as exchange ideas and knowledge with other ceramic artists. Summer and fall artist residencies 2 3 or 6 weeks in midcoast maine for ceramic artists potters and others working in clay. Applicants should have knowledge of a variety of clay techniques and some kiln firing experience the ability to work independently 2 public presentations minimum of 20 hours week in the studio.
